I LOVE participating in Link-ups and Blog Hops! I always discover new blogs to follow and receive more traffic and interaction on my own posts and social media. Make-a-Meal Mondays was born out of this desire.
If you would like to participate in the Make-a-Meal Mondays Blog Hop here on My Blessed Mess, but aren’t sure how to get started, this post is for you!

STEP 1 – Prepare your post
Write a post sharing a recipe, meal plan, technique, trick/hack, or anything related to cooking or baking (or select an existing post relating to these topics).
STEP 2 – Add the Make-a-Meal Mondays graphic
Grab the Make-a-Meal Mondays graphic here: GRAPHIC right click to download and save to your device.
Insert the graphic towards the top of your new post (or open your post editor and do this on an existing post) and use your post editor to add a link to the current Make-a-Meal Mondays post here on My Blessed Mess. To do this you select the image in your blog post draft and use the image settings menu. On WordPress that looks like this:

You will then have a linked graphic in your post that will take readers to the Home post for the current week so that they can click through to each post linked up!
STEP 3 – Add the Make-a-Meal mondays Linky
Since this is set up as a blog hop, you will need to add the entire linky to the bottom of your post. This will allow each participant to receive traffic to their blogs without the reader having to return to the Host post here on My Blessed Mess to read each blog post. They will be able to simply “hop” from blog to blog,
To add the linky to the bottom of your post, grab the code under the linky on the current Make-a-Meal Mondays here on My Blessed Mess…

That will take you to a page that looks like this, which will have the code and the instructions for using it in your blog editor… DON’T USE THE CODE shown here, this is just for example. Each weeks linky will have its own code, so you need to use that specific code!

You will then add HTML code that you copied into your post at the bottom…

When you click the “preview” tab after pasting, your block should look something like this…

STEP 4 – Publish and Link Up
Now you are ready to publish your post and add your url to the linky! You can simply do so from your own post since you already have the linky displayed there. But if you prefer you can return here and link up on the current Blog Hop post on My Blessed Mess.
You’re done!
Now your link will display with the others and you can share and promote your own post as usual 🙂
If you have any issues with these directions or linking your Make-a-Meal mondays post, please dont hesistate to leave a comment or shoot me an email to cassandra@myblessedmessblog.com so I can help!

[…] I have been working very hard and doing a lot of brainstorming to come up with some post ideas that will be helpful to other moms like myself. I love to cook and bake, and I am always excited to try new recipes out in order to get out of my meal planning rut. We definitely have our stand-bys that are always enjoyed, but we do get tired of always eating the same handful of meals every other week. Enter Make-a-Meal Mondays! I will be sharing a cooking or baking related post every Monday here on the blog, and it’s my hope that others will decide to join me! So if you’d like to participate in Make-a-Meal Mondays simply link up at the bottom of this post – or any current Make-a-Meal Monday post! (instructions on adding the Blog Hop graphic and Linky code can be found HERE) […]
